One difference of the Pixel 4a from any previous Pixel machine, including the Pixel 4, is the screen. Google has given the Pixel 4a a punch-hole design with a camera in the left corner. Because there is only one front camera and no “Soli” sensor, the Pixel 4a does not have 3D face unlocking and gesture commands like the big brother Pixel 4. Pixel 4a is equipped with Snapdragon 730G chip, 6GB RAM, 128GB internal memory (UFS 2.1), 5.8-inch FHD 60Hz OLED screen and 3140mAh battery. In general, the configuration of the Pixel 4a is nothing too outstanding, but completely acceptable at its price.
Camera: Single camera, the main sensor is like Pixel 4
Pixel 4a is only equipped with a single camera with Sony IMX363 sensor with 12MP resolution, f / 1.7 lens, Dual Pixel focus support and optical image stabilization.
Although there are no 3, or even 4 cameras like many other products, but the image quality of Pixel 4a is completely superior. It can even be predicted that the Pixel 4a will give images the same level as the current flagship phones, because the Pixel 4 also uses the Sony IMX373 sensor and similar f / 1.7 lens.
Naturally, due to price limitations, the Pixel 4a will not have a telephoto lens like the Pixel 4. Pixel 4a will also not be able to take ultra-wide-angle photos (ultrawide), a relatively common feature on smartphones today.
Price and release time
The Pixel 4a costs $ 349 in the US. At this price, the Pixel 4a becomes a direct competitor of the iPhone SE ($ 399) or OnePlus Nord (399 EUR ~ 470 USD). Users can place an order today and receive it on August 20.
Besides Pixel 4a, Google has also revealed the Pixel 4a 5G. As the name implies, the Pixel 4a 5G will support the 5G network and will cost $ 499 more. Although the details of the Pixel 4a 5G have not been announced by Google, but this machine is expected to be equipped with a stronger chip (most likely Snapdragon 765G) and a larger screen. 5G Pixel 4a will go on sale this fall, the exact time has not been announced by Google.
